Education Fair in Tuttlingen - A great success
|
THE event for young people when it comes to their professional orientation took place at the end of June : The Education Fair being staged every two years in the 15 km apart Tuttlingen. As in the past, DESMA participated again in the town hall of Tuttlingen, this year with a new, attractive booth layout. The activities were again marked by our trainees who presented an engraving machine developed and produced by themselves. On both days of the fair, this machine was in non-stop operation making small key tags for every visitor with his/ her name being engraved on. Apart from the exihibits produced by our customers on our machines, workpieces manufactured by our trainees during their apprenticeship in our training workshop were also showcased. As far as engineering was concerned, a 3-D-CAD-system was demonstrated with which our trainees and diplomates prepared drawings of subassemblies and detail concepts on the booth. This way, interested visitors could gain impressions from the daily work of our engineers and draughtswomen/ draughtsmen.
 
Since the city festival of Tuttlingen took place at the same time, the exhibitors benefitted from a strong turnout. As a result, we had a lot of good discussions in the course of which questions and interests around career choice, education and studies could be responded. To sum up one can say that DESMA will again be present at the Education Fair in Tuttlingen in 2010.
