European Sales Meeting on 18 and 19 December 2008 in Fridingen

Sales 2009, Lecture Dr. ScholzDuring this sales meeting that takes place every six months information out of the various markets is exchanged and the salesmen are updated on the latest technical innovations. For years, the export share has been more than 70 % and comprises almost 60 different countries. Of even more importance in this globalized world is the exchange of information about the global players among the DESMA customers and the global projects e. g. in the energy sector. Further, the market requirements in the individual countries are varying and these differences are decisive to know and to implement.

Retrospectively a very interesting fiscal year was under discussion. DESMA was able to boost total sales again and to realise the highest turnover in the company's history. However, the general conditions in economy have transformed from "euphoric" early 2008 to "anxious" in the 4th quarter of 2008. Due to the world's financial crisis a strong investment caution is mainly perceived in the automotive industry which can be of course attributed to the slackness in sales worldwide. Hence, it is now crucial to define cost-saving potentials and to ramp up the competitiveness of our customers with new innovative solutions.

DESMA in its capacity as one-stop single-source integrated system supplier considers itself to be in a very good position and a highly competent partner for its clients. Hence, the focus in 2009 is on scrutinizing existing production processes and their optmization or reshaping.
