Strong in times of crisis - powerful through the crisis - reinvigorated after the crisis. Our sales team in a stress and fitness test.
|
"Moving ahead with "Bold & Modest"
- to quote an enthusiastic DESMA customer - could indeed have been the motto of the sales workshop which took place on 31 March.
In times like these in particular, when people fall back on "old" values like reliability, credibility,
solidity, management and strategy continuity, as well as sustainability, it is also
important to keep the sales & marketing team fit and on the ball, and to maintain their motivation so that they can hit
the ground running as the spearhead of the company when times are more stressful.
Stress and fitness because there has been a dramatic downturn in the number of potential projects in the
market, but there is an enormous degree of expectation on the part of the workforce suffering from
short-time working - not to mention that of the owners, represented by the management.
Key topics at the event:
Bold
- the boldness to enter dialogue with customers, to work together and identify long overdue potentials for improvement throughout the value chain,
- enough to raise the necessary motivation to keep in touch with current topics, in-house and in the market,
- in facing the future, to focus more than ever on the advisory, planning and executive services complementing the direct sale of machines.
& Maß
- with respect to future and present market requirements
- with respect to cost savings by way of productivity enhancement, material reduction and greater energy efficiency,
- in selling more high quality long-term customer benefits.
The participants left the event motivated, fit and more stress-resistant, having been armed with direct praise
from the management about the work they have done, and faith in their ability to do the work that now needs
to be done - not to mention a large number of options for action on how to remain actively and efficiently in
dialogue with customers, even in difficult times.
