Second successful suppliers' day at DESMA

Since the last suppliers' day in 2007 was a big success - following the motto "only together we are strong" - DESMA this time invited 15 strategic suppliers from the areas mechanical production, hydraulics and electrical components.

The second suppliers' day at the Fridingen headquarters began with a welcome speech by the DESMA Managing Director Martin Schuermann. Followed by Bernd Koehl, heading the DESMA purchasing department, who gave an overview about the supplier portal DESMA set up last year and the synergy effects resulting from it. Oliver Hipp, head of quality management, presented the supplier assessment and the criteria of the quality standards at DESMA.

As a result of the launched supplier portal, the guests reported on its positive effects such as cost and time savings as well as transparency in process flows.

The next suppliers' day is already being planned in order to carry on searching solutions in the fields of processes, costs and workflows jointly with the suppliers.
