Machine series D 968 T with lateral injection further improved.

T-machines are mainly used with large injection units, particularly combined with silicone stuffing devices the content of which amounts up to 50 l. Long and bulky articles such as high-voltage insulators are produced with it. Since the lower mould halve does not vertically move with the T-machines, the support of these products needs to be moved neither. Safety devices and handling units can therefore be simply executed.
The revised version of the vertical machine is now available with clamping units between 2,500 and 8,000 kN across the product line.
Unchanged remained the principle of lateral injection into the split line (D 968 T) and the vertical clamping movement from top. The hydro-mechanical clamping unit has now been transformed into a fully hydraulic clamping unit with optimum clamping force application. This involves fewer movements, fewer sources of error and less wear. This further enables a faster closing movement. The working height could be reduced to work bench level across the product line.
Thus, the same perfect ergonomics as it is available with the Benchmark series is given for the operator. Platforms and pits are superfluous, additional costs and the risk of accidents do no longer exist.
The injection and the hydraulic unit can now be transported in one piece. Therefore only two instead of three subassemblies need to be transported and mounted separately. This saves assembly costs as well as assembly and commissioning times. A machine is usually relocated several times within its working life.
If these costs are added up along with the expenses for pits and platforms, amounts of various 10,000.-- € may result. Apart from this, several days of production loss can be avoided.
For the first time, a machine of this series has been built with two injection units. Hence, this allows for a lateral injection from two opposing sides. There is not any restriction of injection volumes in this version.
The greatly enlarged mounting platens - another special design feature - make the production of articles with dimensions exceeding 2,000 mm possible. The required rigidness is obtained with a strong rip structure of the mounting platens.
All well-known options of this machine series, such as hydraulic lifting devices with stable and precise synchronizing shafts as well as different versions of control systems are of course available. The FlowControl+ technology to reduce cure time is especially effective with these machines due to the usually big wall thickness of the articles produced.
The proven FlowControl cold runners for the 2-deck production are in this case of course at our customers' disposal as well. The lateral injection allows for a safe material distribution in both decks. That's why the efficiency of those machines is distinctly better. Further product information »
